When customers come into Calgary’s House of Mirrors looking for custom frames, mirrors, or glass, there often surprised (and occasionally overwhelmed) at just how many styles and products we can create. This can create an interesting problem for them: how do they design, or describe, the custom mirror or frame they need?
This is something that we deal with from time to time, whether the customer is a homeowner or professional interior designer. Often, we rely on three easy ways to get style ideas for custom frames and mirrors:
1. Have the customer bring a photo or drawing. A picture really is worth a thousand words, at least when it comes to figuring out a design concept or style idea. If you have a visual representation of what you need, or something similar, that can be a great starting point.
2. Have the customer give us a sense of the style. Sometimes, customers don’t really know what they want at first. What they may have, though, is a picture of the room, a cloth or paint sample, or even a throw pillow or other piece that the frame will need to be matched to.
3. Let them take a different twist from an item in our showroom. With the thousands of items we have around our Calgary showroom, there’s a good chance that we have something that’s reasonably close, or a couple of items that could be viewed together to get an idea of what you’re looking for.
If you’re searching for something to add to your home and can’t seem to find it anywhere, come visit Calgary’s House of Mirrors. Not only do we have an enormous showroom with thousands of items, but we can use our workshop to create custom mirrors and frames the match any style or decor.
