When most homeowners or interior designers are looking for something new to add to a space, they want an item that will continue to look fantastic and last a very long time. But is it possible for something to last too long?
Although we’ve never had a customer complain that our products are too high quality, it isn’t unusual for them to be featured in homes for decades. That can give owners some interesting choices to make, especially if they have a glass item, or a mirror, that looks as good as it did when it left our store, but doesn’t necessarily fit with new design choices.
Here are a few things you can try in that situation:
Build a new design around the item. Sometimes, you can create an entirely new look by changing things like paint colors, throw pillows, or even other furniture that doesn’t age as well as glass and mirrors do.
Move the item to a different room. In the same way, you might be able to give a fresh look by your moving glass and mirror items to a different room, or different part of the same room.
Store it somewhere for use later. As long as you store them properly with the right padding, your glass and mirror home-improvement items will last almost indefinitely. So, if you need a fresh look, why not put them aside for a while?
Sell it or give it as a gift. Not only do our products hold their value, but they might even be appreciated by someone you know who’s moving into their own home or space that they need to fill.
