Enhance Your Kitchen by Adding an Architectural Pattern Glass to Your Cabinet Doors - House of Mirrors - Mirrors and Glass Calgary

Architectural pattern glass is like having a kaleidoscopic window where any glass pane could be. They are a textured addition to a modern or vintage aesthetic that – as we explain in this blog – will really make your kitchen sparkle!

What is architectural pattern glass?

It’s essentially translucent glass; glass that allows some light to pass through while distorting the view of the other side. It’s glass that, while in a semi-molten state, was passed through a textured roller to give an embossed look on the surface.

This is Better Than Clear Glass in the Kitchen as you don’t have to always worry about smudges or fingerprints on the surface. Smudges from messy-from-cooking hands are far less likely to be seen on the surface of this patterned glass. As well, the patterned glass hides the actual contents of your cupboard with its translucent surface, so no one will see how much nutella you keep stocked in your cupboard.

It Gives Your Kitchen a Sparkly Look, especially when you install a unique light source in or near your cabinets. Have a dark pantry or cupboard? Look into installing some small LED lights on the roof of a cabinet that turns on with your kitchen light, or when you open the cabinet. This will reflect off/through the patterned glass for a truly snazzy kitchen atmosphere.

We recommend patterned glass on any cabinet door, but they are also great in bathrooms to allow for lots of light as well as discretion. Why not visit our Calgary showroom (F#24, 5555 2nd St S.E, Calgary, AB T2H 2W4) to see it up close? See you soon!
